Arthritis of the Hip
One of the most typical reasons for hip pain is arthritis. Since arthritis is a progressive disorder, it normally develops gradually and worsens with time. The definition of arthritis is "inflammation of the joint."
Asymptomatic arthritis
Hip arthritis symptoms, regardless of the type of arthritis, include:
- Hip joint pain that may also cause groin, outer thigh, or buttock pain
- Pain that usually becomes worse in the morning and gets better with exercise
- walking with difficulty or a limp
- the ache that gets worse after strenuous or prolonged activity
- Hip stiffness or restricted range of motion
